3 mm bleed and 3 mm safety are adjustable starting points. Follow the confirmed factory template for your project.

A white border is intentional white paper, not extra bleed. Narrow borders can look uneven after cutting.

04 Paper & finishes

Thickness is an adjustable illustration, independent of gsm. Confirm the actual paper caliper with the factory.

Material, weight and process combinations are preferences to discuss, not confirmed stock. Screen textures, foil, coatings and edges are simulations; assess physical samples before deciding.

    These checks cover image size and placement only. Text, existing white edges, colour profiles, spot plates and print compatibility need manual review. Guides for oval shapes are approximate offsets.

    Design beyond the edge.

    Bleed is the artwork outside the finished card. Extend backgrounds to the outer canvas. Enlarging an image fills the area by cropping; it does not invent missing artwork.

    02 / PROTECT

    Give details room.

    Keep text, logos and important details inside the safety guide. Rounded corners remove more artwork near each corner.
